Irish Karaoke

Anonymous Karaoke is fun. And karaoke at an Irish pub- even better. I've never had a bad time at an Irish pub. I enjoyed the chance to spend the evening with friends last night, laughing and cheering for the next brave soul to sing their heart out. I always feel like whenever we have the opportunities to step outside our comfort zones, (singing music in front of lots of people in this case) there's the chance one will be supported and cheered on, or embarrassed and humiliated. I was happy to see that all of the bar go-oers, myself included, cheered for each singer. I keep feeling like such a cheese ball when I write stuff like this, but I really felt a sense of community last night! Two things are certain: it's good to have community, and it's good to have music.
