I often times find myself at an extreme loss for words when it comes time to write my blogs. Our experiences here cannot be put into just words no matter how hard we try. I sit down to write and I wish that I could just reach through the computer and pull all of you through so you could actually see it here. Today we had the amazing opportunity to visit a monastery and the ancient city of Delphi. Talk about time warping. And even more so, culture warping. Walking around with my classmates, I was amazed at the awe and respect every single person had for the history and the beauty. Our emotions and enjoyment of the sites went far beyond normal expectations. We were so enamored with the ancient city of Delphi that we didn't even realize when it was getting close to closing time and we had to rush all the way down the ruins to make it into the museum so we could look around for 20 minutes.
Though we had extremely serious moments I do not want you to be fooled; there were some even more extremely funny moments. Hilarious actually. You could tell that all of us actually do pay attention in class because when we were at the stadium together, we got off on such a tangent, taking our historical experience to an extreme. Part of me wishes we could go through with our elaborate plans to wow all of you with just how far we were willing to immerse ourselves in the ancient Greek culture, and the other part of me is content with the fact that we now have an awesome inside joke.
The awesomeness of this day makes me ever so inclined to time warp again. Anytime. Anywhere.
