Rain and city lights

The trip to the top of one of the hills of Athens tonight with the gang was majestic!  Even with the rain.  Definitely felt like royalty walking around with the city lights glowing around me talking and laughing with my professors and classmates.  This city at night is certainly something to see.  Relaxing in the cafe' at the top of the hill with some good conversation and drinks and, in my case, a very good brownie was an excellent way to end the day.  I can't help but allowing my mind to wander just a bit as I wander through these very majestic sights around the city.  I tend to be a little bit (okay, so a lot) of a dreamer, as all who know me know, so I feel like this setting is the perfect place to just let myself imagine and dream more so than I do at home.  That's just part of who I am, and since we are studying identity closely in this course, I feel that fits a lot!  Certain things just set me dreaming, for sure.

The thought of city lights in the rain makes any Seattleite happy, as they are so used to these circumstances.  I figured, hey, why not sit and dream a bit and enjoy a brownie a la mode on top of one of the world's oldest and most historic cities, when will I get to do this again in my life?  Hopefully again one day, of course, but I am just usually very hard on myself and don't tend to enjoy the moment like I should.  Here is me, expanding my horizons I suppose ;D until tomorrow....yasou!
