Remember the Titans

I didn't know a thing about Greek mythology before PLU, and even now my knowledge on the subject is limited. My brother and his wife dressed up as Zeus and Hera for Halloween and I had no idea who they were. I mean, I knew Zeus was a god of some sort, but beyond that, I got nothin'. The Hoquiam School District failed me in that area, I suppose. It's been really neat to see how Greek mythology and Israelite/Jewish texts relate. I admit that I was skeptical of myths before coming to college, but over the course of my education at PLU, I've heard a lot about the relativity of "truth" and "fact" and "history" and "History". What can be learned from both myth and fiction is really important, and even if the details aren't "true" the messages and experiences are.

And for your viewing pleasure, Zeus and Hera as interpreted by my brother and sister-in-law!
