Remember the Titans

The first thing that comes into my mind when I think "Remember the Titans," I think of the classic Denzel Washington movie. In some strange way I feel like that movie relates to our class. The Titans football team had to overcome their assumptions about people and their differences in order to become successful. I feel like we have done the same thing. Although I don't think anyone here had any prejudices against anyone else it can sometimes be hard to get along with everyone. The first few days I think we all could see definite groups forming, not that we all couldn't get along but there were groups for sure. I think that as our short time here has passed we have all shared more and more about ourselves and gained a greater appreciation for others. I know I have. Hearing other people's stories and experiences I feel as though I can relate to many people and appreciate their presence here. I think that we are a lucky group of people, we are in a beautiful city, experiencing amazing things and we are gaining a greater appreciation and sense of understanding of each other the longer we are here. I feel like this is truly a unique experience and one you must experience for yourself to really understand what I mean.
