The group just arrived safely to the College Year in Athens. After being welcomed to the College and a brief toast to a successful journey from professor Finitsis, a majority of the group is off getting acquainted with their apartments for the next two weeks. My small group of roommates is sitting in the college reception area looking out at the Olympic Stadium (which is directly beside us!) and the Acropolis out in the not-to-far distance!!!
Despite a few ticketing issues, our group of 21 made it from Seatac to Amsterdam to Athens in one piece, if just a little bit tired. The bus ride from the airport to College Year was relatively quiet as everyone took in the scenery and let it sink in that we are really in Greece!
I look forward to getting settled into apartment and taking a trip to the grocery store this evening.
