Choose Wisdom

Wisdom. What is wisdom? To me it has many different forms; wisdom can be the experiential knowledge one has gained over a lifetime, the learned knowledge from study or the wisdom you gian from another. Experiential wisdom, to me, is something you gain with age. The more things you have experienced in life and the more tough situations you have fallen into the more experience you have and the better off you are to handle another difficult situation as it comes your way. Learned wisdom comes from schooling, the facts and histories you learn in school are not only important in a career but are important in practical life. This wisdom is learned but can be interpreted different ways and be put to use in situations that arise in your everyday or professional lives. The other type of wisdom that comes to mind is wisdom you gain from another person. By this is mean a relationship where two people are different but complement each other and can therefore learn from each other's ideas and perspectives. When I think about this I think about my parents. They have many differences but work well together; they are able to learn from the others' perspective on things and try to look at a situation differently than they would on their own. I guess this is kind of like the "two heads are better than one" idea. I guess what I'm getting at is that wisdom takes many different forms and can be molded to fit any lifestyle but no matter who you are wisdom is something that is extremely important to strive for because it only leads you to better yourself and be more aware of others.
