We have a very eclectic group on this trip, but we work well together. Professors Finitsis and Ihssen have commented a number of times about how 'respectful' we are of Greek culture, even as we are paraded through the streets and across traffic, or how we gather and shout greetings at a camera in English. We've come to form relationships with each other through our group projects and by spending hours at late night cafes. We all come from different places, but being thrust into an entirely new environment together has brought us closer. Our intranational differences seem much less noticeable than the difference between our national identity as Americans and that of the Greeks. It's been a great learning experience for all of us.
