A Sunny Saturday in Athens

As a class, today we visited the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. The museum displays artwork and artifacts from the Neolithic to the Byzantine periods. Seeing this succession of artistic production allows one to see the progression of the culture through it's influence over the commission, execution and function of art.

After leaving the museum, many of my classmates took the tram over to the coast and sat on the beach for a little while. This was our first glimpse of the Greek coast line and it certainly didn't disappoint. The view was stunning and the company was amazing, making this afternoon unforgetable.
