Visions of Greece

When I look at Greece I see diverse aspects of the culture that make it beautiful. Small things. Each are colorful and different in their own way and add a complexity to the culture that can't always be tangible or understood. Others you can taste or see or feel. And when you take a step back to fail once more at quantifying it, you reveal something that connects them all. It starts when you attempt to understand these aspects singularly and seperately. You'll find some things will not make much sense when you view them from the surface or take them at face value, like the way people act toward each other, things people say, the way a certain dish is prepared or even the songs you hear. But when you delve deeper and attempt to see what they all share, you stop trying to make sense of it all and just let go. When you do, you discover that the lights blend together into something more beautful than you had originally seen.
