Between Parkland and Pagkrati

My first full day in Athens was lovely. I got a great full night's sleep, had a good breakfast, and the sun was shining when I left the apartment mid-day. I went for a great walk; meandering through the neighborhoods by the Acropolis, and sat at a café for a leisurely, late lunch. It was a beautiful thing. There are still so many things that jump out at me every time I turn the corner... both tangible things and general observations. The café was a great place for people watching, and I found myself jotting down a phrase now and again in my notebook... to jog my overloaded memory later, and keep track of the thoughts flying through my head faster than I was able to collect them. I find myself thinking about so many things at once that I am afraid that all my thoughts will slip away from me. I know that it will take time to process things... even after my return, and today was only the first day! So, I will cut myself some slack, take a few notes here and there, and try to catch up to my speeding train of thought, even if that happens 3 months from now :).
