Between Parkland and Pagkrati

So today was more walking to the Plaka district around the Acropolis and the Athens Flea Market.  One word I would definitely use to describe this city is vibrant.  Especially on a sunny day like today.  The weather has been incredible.  It felt like a wonderful spring day today, not a day in January.  My roommates were a casualty of jet lag today, but I did fine.  Walking and powering through the jet lag is what helps me.  I learned that lesson from my last study abroad experience in high school when I travelled to Japan.

I am getting set to go to bed and get ready for another exciting day after a wonderful first full day.  I sit here humming the soundtrack to "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" as I type this.  Me and my movies.  It'll never change.  Dinner tonight definitely reminded me of the movie, the big platters of meat.  Which were delicious by the way!  Plus I don't think I'll ever get used to all the good cheese here!  My desire when it comes to food, though, is to get my hands on some great seafood.  Which I KNOW Greece has.

I am a huge seafood fan, so this will be great to try.  Off to dream of what is to come in this awesome country now!!!  Until tomorrow....Yasou!!!
