What a fabulous second day today has been! I woke up very late this morning, walked around for several hours, drank a "frappe" and went out to a beautifully prepared dinner and a nice evening stroll. Since my last blog had to do with an interaction with people, I thought I'd share another one today. While this afternoon 3 of us girls were looking at a map, trying to navigate the shortest route home to make it in time to watch our class film, I looked up to see an older woman passing us by on the sidewalk. I stepped to the side so she could pass and greeted her. Yeia sas, I said, quietly-- and she responded, "welcome to Greece" as she stroked my arm and continued on her way. Today was an all around beautiful day. Because I had slept so much last night, I went out for the afternoon without feeling jet-lag, walked around a bunch and had my coffee, bought a great scarf, ate a lovely dinner and I learned how to say cheers in Greek! Yamas!
