This is Sparta

This is Sparta! brought laughs all around today for those who've seen the movie and for those who have yet to watch it all as well. Somehow this phrase was easier and less embarrassing (for most) to shout than our Wang Center "Happy Holidays" greeting. Though passers-by may wonder how. I think that it is because we have become not only a group, but a team and therefore shouting "This is Sparta" has become our identity, theme, and relationship. The first time shouting "Happy Holidays" we were not fully integrated, nor was the phrase integrated into us. But now we have formed our group, to the point where shouting "Sparta" is not only not embarrassing, but enjoyable. Through our time in Athens we have made our mark where we've traveled and with each other. Athens, Delphi, Mistras, Sparta, Plaka etc have become an essential ingredient to our group and has been the foundation to our creation. Now as we trek onward to Rhodes which will bring a whole other dynamic and layer, we can say we were Athens and later we are Rhodes.
